What to expect from Minnesota?
The T-Wolves just got beat last game to the Hawks by 13 points and they even shot 18 more FGA’s than the Hawks did. Not only that but they have been struggling as of late losing 4/L6 including 3 straights by 26,10,13. During this stretch the main reason for their struggles has been Anthony Edwards play scoring just 17,19,16 points over this stretch shooting 20/56 35.7% and 8/25 32% from deep. One thing though that could be beneficial is he is due for a solid game, and he has historically played decent @DAL scoring 36,26,29 points over the last 3 while shooting a combined 5/13 from deep 38.4%. Now another factor is the Timberwolves defense that has been good, but it’s been bad over the last 3 games they have allowed opponents to shoot 50.2% from the field which is the 4th highest over this stretch. T-Wolves have looked dysfunctional a lot on offense and defensively as of late and to make matters even worse they are facing a Mavs team who shoots the 5th highest FG% this season (48.8%) They faced each other in the 4th game of the season and the Mavs won 120-114 @MIN. The Mavs only had 9 turnovers compared to the T-Wolves 20. Both teams shot. One concern is Kyrie & Luka shot 50 of the team’s 93 FGAs against them. Luka Magic and Kyrie Irving is a hard duo to fade especially against a team that let them get to their spots.

What to expect from Dallas?
This could be a Luka Magic and Kyrie Irving show against this Timberwolves defensive that has not been playing good at all as of late. The Mavs are 10-4 @Home this year but 10-2 their L12! Luka Doncic last year on Christmas went for 50 points and 15 assist. Guy shows up in the bright lights and he has scored 33,39,34,33,32,33,28,36,24 points the L9 meeting against the T-Wolves. Irving has also been a dawg against the T-Wolves scoring 30+ points in 6/8 games when playing with Luka. This T-Wolves team defensively does not match up well with this Mavs offense and I expect it to be a long night for them

I would be stupid if I didn’t side with Luka Magic and Kyrie Irving. The T-Wolves have not been doing anything over the last week and it’s concerning for them coming into this one on the road against 2 players who they can’t stop who show up in the bright lights. Give me Mavs by a MILLION‼️ Jokes aside I think they win this one by 10+.

I mean how can you fade this man?!?! He has had 30+ points in 10/21 games this year but last season on Christmas he went for 50 and the T-Wolves seem to not have an answer for him as he has had 30+ points in 6/L8 matchups while playing alongside Kyrie Irving. I’m not overthinking this one

Irving or Randle?!? I’m going with Kyrie every time on this one. Randle is so overrated in my opinion and over the last 10 games he has averaged just 17 PPG scoring a high of 24 points. Last time he faced Dallas he scored 20 points but he shot 7/13 and 3/3 from deep (HIGHLY UNLIKELY TO REPEAT). Now on the other side Irving has scored 17,21,15,20 points the L4 games but he is getting a ton of attempts. In the last 8 games with Luka while playing this T-Wolves team he has put up 36,35,30,20,33,16,36,35 points averaging 22.1 FGA’s per game. This will be Kyrie’s first Christmas game since 2021 but in his L4 Christmas games he has put up 25,20,49,37 points‼️
